Here is an assignment I finished for a workshop I am taking, this is painted from a picture of a little girl (I have no idea who she is). The exercise was to try to paint as realistically as we could.

Recently I finished a workshop through cgsociety.com, Environment Art for Games. Then I was contacted by one of the admins to use one of my pieces for their CGworkshops front page (a fun ego boost). Here it is, and here's a link to the page, its part of a scrolling thing so you might have to click the next button a few times. http://workshops.cgsociety.org/index.php?force_frontpage=1

I just finished a workshop though cgsociety.com called Environment Design for Games with an awesome instructor Simon Scales, his blog here http://simon-scales.blogspot.ca/
This last one is more of a matt painting, or rather a concept using ONLY photos to speed up workflow since the subject matter is based in the real world.
